Help..you know that sticky about the washer?
It was inevitable it was going to happen. I didn't think it would with only ½ gallon though it....Need some assistance though...
To cut a long story short it all happened when I blew a Glow Plug. Put a new one in and went to turn it over. Shazaammm. Crank wouldn't turn. On investigation this is what I saw...
First pic shows the head taken off. Upon investigation there appears to be no real damage to the lining of the Barrel. This is good news. Second Pic shows the conrod. Loads of swarf in here, washer missing...if it had one...and a build up in the conrod channel. Third pic shows what I believe to be the washer. How can I get this out without further damage. I beleive if I can get it out I'll be extremely lucky. Also, how do I take the flywheel off? Do I need a pulley?
I also discovered that one of the clutch springs had broken! Now I have those bits!...hehe...
Help guyz please...

[:@] Leave the flywheel on for now.Use it to turn the engine clockwise as you're looking at it from the front and hopefully the piece of the washer that's wedged in there comes loose and didn't do too much damage.
That or don't touch it and send it to Horizon for warranty, they should cover that IMHO.

Mr impatient they call me. Anyway, I was able to free it without any further damage. I have the conrod out and the piston. I'll post a pic of the piston and perhaps you guyz can tell me if putting this back in will be okay. Or should I just speak to Ryan? I might do that if I'm honest and send it back tomorrow....I know a lot more about the engine now though...lol
On reflection and looking at the pic it's not good. I'm gunna send it back to Helger. Why should I bodge it. Just cos it works for Dynamite doesn't mean it works for me. Anyway, the other Mach .26 engine should arrive from the states in a couple of days. Back to running in again....

Thats what I was thinking to I put it back together and let it run as is. But I've decided against it. Ah well, no LST for a while. The washers coming out on the forthcoming engine.
