New to this hobby
I am lucky, my wife got me hooked to this addiction. Her ex had a RC and she been wanting to get involved so this december I purchased two LST's. With all my choices I had, I probably could have went with a savage, but decided on LST due to the complete package it offered. BTW, I was one of those idiots who didnt remove the washer. So I sent my engines in to horizon and had one replaced and other was repaired. I am now 2 months into this hobby of RC'ing and I believe I enjoyed uggrading most of my items. Listed below are some of the upgrades.
For both vehicles:
Upgrades to team helotes rechargable batteries.
Failsafe switches - ( not yet installed )
purchased a charger too recharge (approx 30 mins to recharge a truck for me - wohhooo) Intellipeak chareger by traxxas
sway bars
wheel hex hard anodized
I wired the truck so i have a recharge wire easily accessable.
For my truck since my wife likes to do her own work:
aluminum shock towers
went with axles made by MIP
aluminum diff casings. (this was a fun job getting all the grease out of them. I was fearful of not being able to get it together again.)
silcon dif lube (30k front and back: I would been reading up on theory behind this. I went with 30k due to the owners manual saying 25-50k)
Since i Broke oneof the shock rods, I upgraded to titanium on it.
currently have a racer body i am gonna work on (painting)
These things i am considering on upgrading:
Roll bar
Skid plates (I would like to find a carbon plate rather than alluminum - less weight)
Considering a digital servo for faster response - researching this topic
Considering on having the engine modded - still researching
not sure about threaded shocks, but a possiblity
I been scrolling thru this site and looking for any ideas to improve on this truck. Also since I like to get into some racing, I am looking for anythng written to develop the driving skills. Any suggestions on mods and tips about developing skills, etc?

Hey I'm we are in the same city. Have you gone to Toys4BigBoys and seen the track there yet? There are some good drivers there and the best way to learn, IMO, is to watch them race and talk to the drivers. Also, Robbie at the shop there knows a lot about anything R/C.
