Hi
I smashed my shock shaft today aswell when I smashed into a tree. Kind of driver error I guess. I have ordered some new ones from microtech now plus a couple spare which could be why there out of stock.

I must have the coolest LHS, not only does he keep bucket loads of Losi parts in stock including all suspension parts he owns and drives a Losi himself. Better still when he comes to the club on race day his van is a mobile LHS and has Losi parts there and then.
It can however get expensive when the “break it, fix it, break it again†cycle is reduced to the time it takes to fix it.

I have run into myself twice now, once for each leg. First time was my left leg, LST ok and a little bit of skin of the leg and a bit of bruising. The second was the right leg, now my right leg is Kevlar reinforced fiberglass [:-] so no real damage to either party.
Fortunately the collision with the right leg was at a fairly low speed, it would have been interesting to see what would have happened at high speed. I weigh 140+ kgs (over 300 pounds) so we are talking irresistible force (LST) meets the immovable object (ME). [:@]

Drive as if your driving a full size car.......dont get out of control.....dont break out 2nd gear if your not comfortable with the sloppy handling from the expanding larger tires. At these speeds, a typical urbam street gets pretty narrow fast. I have done the same, just want you to think about it......its expensive and avoidable. With age you become better drivers and the same applies to r/c cars.

Now that just contradicts my way of thinking entirely.Drive it like you stole it,have as much fun as possible and if you break something remember ..."stuff happens" and at least you were having fun when it did.
Peace

I second Pinolelst, I was driving like a madman just now at the park jumping out of the sand pits and ridin wheelies across the ball diamonds and just tagged a small tree. Luckily just broke the steering link so I was able to keep bashing, just had some loose steering but if damage is the price of admission, I'm in. I never drive my motorcycles this wild so I vent some of my silliness when driving the RC cars. Works for me. I don't intentionally break things but also don't baby them either.

Head on collision at about 60kmph should sort that sarcasm out I rekon.
Reason I couldn't get SAVAGE started was the fuel had gone stale.
As I am a newbie, fuel going stale was not something I had thought about, but as I have now been made aware of such attributes, will continue to bash Ar Kid's Losi...........when I get round to catching it that is!
