Default Steel TiNi pinions only?

Anyone running the Steel TiNi pinions with the stock plastic spurs?

My stock pinions wear before the spurs, I was hoping to get away with just upgrading the pinions and keeping the stock spurs.

Any thoughts?

If you have viable stock spur gears give it a go, the worst that can happen is you strip the spur gears and you have to put the TiNi ones, I have a complete set and have run about three tanks through and all is good.

At least with running stock spur gears the temp will be down, TiNi on TiNi gets hot o so very hot. I will probably be removing my secondary gear cover to try and get some more air in there.

Where in OZ are you? I am in Toowoomba and our club has about six LST’s.
