is there a substitute
Tomorrow i'm getting my new aluminum diff case and gears for my rear diff on my lost lst.... and forgot hobby diff grease... i hear 50k should be run in the diff..... is there a substitute to this hobby diff grease?.... or do i need to go 40 miles to a hobby shop tomorrow?... thanks....

I think you're referring to diff oil. Diff oil is better than the grease that comes in the diffs from factory. I don't know of any substitute for diff oil though.

Silicone diff. grease? Yes, I'd run 50k in rear, 30k in front. Or even 30k all round. Lighter silicone gives your drive train less strain, resulting in less axles broken. But higher is limited slip, so I'd go in between, 30k all round. Don't know of any substitue, unless you want the low-quality stock stuff with no limited slip whatsoever.
