How do I get this ring off?
How in God's creation do you get the ring off the 2 speed low gear hub? I am putting on the TiNi gears and I couldn't get the old ring off the old plastic spur so I just used a new one. Now I can't get the ring on. It basically is a giant C clip, but it's very strong. How can I do this?

i used a pair of pliers and pulled them apart and then popped it off. the correct way to do it is get some tool thats made for eclips. do a search you should find it. good luck!

Yeah...these snap ring pliers from Sears are great. The can be converted to both inside ring removers and to outside ring removers by clicking the two levers on the outside of the grips. Plus you get a bag of different sized probs for the right ring size. DBM [8D]
