RE: Lst
Easier to get to parts for replacing, good wide balanced stance, ridged chassis design, super heavy duty shocks, easier to modify and mount a more powerful engine. Like I did, I put a Cen 5hp engine. Traxxas revo is a good design but is cluttered because of the shocks and is of balanced because of the engine. The HPI is a good design, well balanced, everything is centered but again its very compact. I've owned a T Max, Ofna Pirate, Savage SS, and now the LST. The two best that I liked, the Ofna Pirate that was a single speed truggy style even though the engine was off centered facing the front the reciever box and fuel tank balanced it out. The LST has the engine facing to the side and is centered, reciever box is centered, an fuel tank is centered. Both the ofna and the LST are well balanced easy to work on and alot of fun to control wheelies .

makoshark, you truck is FRIGGIN sweet!!!! Those are some huge wheels. I love the looks of it. When I look at Mt's like yours, it makes me wonder why I got an mt, although I love my jato, dont get me wrong, but I love the fact that your Mt can probably run over anything in its path!

RE: Lst
First the LST is Bigger than the REVO and in this case for me, BIGGER is BETTER. Second the LST is a Race/Bash truck and the Savage is a bash and Geee, I wish I could race and really compete truck. I own both and that is the plain a simple case for me. The Savage is just too brute to race competively and the LST is not. The REVO is small and agile but also fragile when comes to bashing. So I go LST.

RE: Lst
the LST2 really isn't different from the first. new engine, threaded shocks (poor design) shiming is easier, the only real good upgrades are the tires and the aluminum diff casings. But the diff cases are going for $8 each on Ebay, and for basically the same cost, get the Zombie Max tires They are perfect for all terrains.

RE: Lst
The LST threaded shocks are a poor design??? I have a year of use on mine with zero issues. When I'm on the drivers stand and the 15yr old kid I've never meet before, who is acting as my pit guy needs to soften the front to increase steering I say 'two turns out' on the front, what do you do?? That so much easier than funbling around in the dark for a couple of shims. You don't even mention the 8mm axles and stronger CVD's which is the best feature along with the beefed up axle carriers and a-arms. The LST1 freakin rocks, the LST2 is gonna be awsome. All of this is based on my experience and is of course my opinion.

I've did the threaded shocks twice, T Max and then the Savage SS. The T Max took a bumped/small spill over the guard rail. It ruined an inch of threads on one side. On the SS a stick slapped the springs, had spring marks on the threads.

RE: Lst
how often do you take you truck bashing? Normally I would go full float for bashing then lower it for racing. So I didn't slap the chassis on the ground, thats a good cause of parts failure.

My threaded shocks on my racer from a few hours ago. If you click on the pic you will see video highlights of what I did today, not really bashing, but.......... There is also a CRT truggy in the video. I broke nothing except I caved in my exhaust when I hit the fence.

RE: Lst
This engine was a bear to get broken in compared to all the other big blocks I have dealt with, a lot of pinch. It comes with a air filter system and glow plug and a nice users manual. I broke it in with the Top Nova pipe that I caved in during that video. I have yet to try the RDL. I bought the hardano pipe for duribility. It really did not start running well till I got past a half gallon. I got the Savage roto start version so I could just use the backplate off a old Savage engine and use the same Roto-start for my Collari's. I like the way the needles feel firm like they will hold their position and I wonder if they don't use a head button to prevent leaks?? I sealed nothing, manual tells you not to do it. I ditched the OS8 that came with it and used a A5. I wanna try a R5 a bit later.
You get a lot of stuff in the box....
The sleeve on the carb prevents heat transfer
It looks nice!!
It sucks when you ruin a $100+ pipe and bend your RDL header.. but I had a crazy amount of time with it...
The engine was making good power but I need more time before deciding if I really like it.
