LST truck with Losi HT steering servo upgrade
Hi. My new LST 1 truck is equipped with a digital Losi radio and two Losi HT steering servos (not the JR stuff). I cannot find these servo's specifications anywhere. I was wondering if the JR ES-579 servos (think its 8.3 kg / cm) would be stronger & faster than these stock Losi servos? Thanks

Yaa, I've never heard of a losi making a radio or servos. More info please. What is the number on the side of your radio box?

since you live in a country other than the USA your LST come equipped with a jr xr3 3 channel non-synthesized radio that is badged "losi sport" and not JR. the servos are the same as the ones we have on out trucks here but they are badged "losi sport" as well. the JR sevos we have are z570m for steering, and i think the torque is about 88 in/oz and the jr z270 servos are for throttle/brake and reverse

Thanks for that. If I do a quick convertion e.g. 88oz/inch = 2.73711kg/2.54cm = 6.9kg/1cm. It seems the JR ES-579 servo could be a bit stronger?

I've got a few trucks and I have to admit that the stock steering is pretty good and only show signs of weakness on bumpy turns when you're trying to put the power down. A change to the MGT servo savers fixes that. Personally I wouldn't touch the servos until one of them died, as happened to me recently. I'd recommend trying the MGT servo savers before throwing money at new servos. You'll find it able to hold it's line better under acceleration.
My LST with stock servos and Losi King Pin tires or Maxx sized Bowties, on a track, can change direction as fast as my MGT and Savage which both have Airtronic 9435 servos for steering.

Thanks. I have three of those ES-579s in the cupboard but I rather then look at the saver upgrade. Can you give me a part number and some idea what the task would involve to replace the stock saver?
