Diff question
I know this may sound like a stupid question but on the LST2 are the diff cups (the part that contains the four spider gears) alloy or is there a seperate diff casing that is alloy?

RE: Diff question
I think I have figured it out the aluminum part is just the cover...Weak!
This part:[link=http://www.teamlosi.com/Products/Default.aspx?ProdID=LOSB3532]Diff case[/link]
not this part:[link=http://www.teamlosi.com/Products/Default.aspx?ProdID=LOSB3537]Diff housing[/link]
Man that was half the reason I bought this thing! ARGHH!

RE: Diff question
Honestly I dont know of any MT manufacturer that puts aluminum diff cups in their trucks, the problem with the original LST was the diff case's were cracking nothing to do with the diff housings. Losi is one of the only MT manufacturers to put aluminum diff cases in their truck, the LST2. What about the aluminum housings is such a big deal? Just curious.

RE: Diff question
Alum diff case wont flex as readily as plastic will. A plastic diff case (the outer) can flex and allow the gears to go out of mesh, then CRUNCH new crown and pinion thanks... Alum wont flex as easily and will hold things together better. Thats how i see it anyway
