LRP Z .28R Spec 2 Engine
Would the LRP Z .28R Spec 2 Engine work in the LST2? I need anything special to make it work? Is it better than the Mach 427?

RE: LRP Z .28R Spec 2 Engine
I got my LRP yesterday. I just wish I could break it in. Recently we had been seeing some nice weather. Today I woke up to find an inch of snow on the ground, and its still snowing. Stupid weather. [:@]
BTW, the backplate and spin start can be swapped over from the Mach .26 if you wanted a shaft start engine. All the parts can be bought at Killer Hobbies.

It's a awsome engine and the entire backplate/oneway from the crankout will bolt right up from a Mach/Mach 427/SH/Sportwerks/XTM (Golden LION) engines. I have a perfectly broken in one in my pit box with a shimmed up Werks clutch and about 2.5 gallons in for a backup and I race with one that is brand new with a sweated in sleave in my Werks clutch. I run +2 pinions with it and it has a very broad smooth powerband.

8 tanks through mine, and its almost as nice as my Novarossi. I am MOST pleased. After the first tank, the break-in was absolutely painless, and it has great power for only 8 tanks. This one is highly reccomended.

So has any of you owned BOTH the Mach 427 and LRP? What about the Mach 28 and Picco 28(I would want roto start for it)? I need to buy an engine fast as my 427 took a crap on me, but I loved its performance. I just don't like how fast it died.

Spec 3 is out (as per Associated website)
http://www.rc10.com/shusting/CatalogHub/lrp/engines.htm
Guess that's why Tower Hobby has is on back order for months!

Tower has really been crappy lately - most items on backorder - Guess I'll wait for the Spec-3 for my Monster GT.
They recommend the new HPI roto-start and adapter. This Roto is the one HPI needed for their new SavageX. More starting torque for the new 4.6 engines. Happy Rippin, boys (and girls). Let the 2006 Season Begin ! WoooHoooo!!!
