Default will aftershock hurt the revo 3.3 sales

Well do you think since losi came out with the aftershock (399.00).That it will hurt some of the revo 3.3 sales (500.00) Look at it from a newbie view 500.00 for a Small block truck or 399.00 for a big block truck

I'm digging a $400 LST, so I voted yes. I wasn't goin to buy a revo 3.3 anyway, but i'm definitely gonna grab the aftershock

nah I dont think it will.

revo and any incarnation of LST are at pretty opposite ends of the spectrum. SB 1/10th vs BB 1/8th. and the revo 3.3 is closer to the lst in price than the aftershock.

There's too many people, making too many problems... and not much love to go around. Can't you see this is the land of confusion!

Um, er, no. Sales for both will continue to go up!

If I was completely new to RC trucks and my LHS pulled the Aftershock and Revo 3.3 out of their boxes and set them beside each other I'm sure I'd be more impressed with the size of the Aftershock. Now, alot of new guys think they need reverse and the LHS will mention that I'm sure. New guys aren't gonna think about how the JR radio will benefit them, they may just assume the radios are close to the same or not understand the difference. Opti-drive is gonna be another thing the LHS throws in for an added feature. Opti-drive is a POS and shouldn't be on anything but the LHS is in the business to make a sale or two. Hopefully the LHS explains the sizes of the engine and not just the top end speed of the trucks. To the beginner, the Revo 3.3 is still gonna have the edge on sales. For most of us that have had trucks and have learned a thing or two about them, the Aftershock is a much better truck for $100 less. I have a Revo and I like it but I love my LST2. I think this is common among those who own both trucks!

I doubt it because it is pretty much a LST1. I'm all about Losi and have both a LST1 and 2, but I think I owuld get a Revo over the LST1 as it let me down in way to many races. Usually CVD problems.

I voted yes. I think it will not hurt previous Traxxas owners, but for people new to this hobby, price will be a definite issue. If the Aftershock didn't come out, Revo would probably get a lot more new comers.

I dont think it will affect the Revo 3.3 at all. I DO think it was aimed at T Maxx 3.3 buyers.

I vote no , it`s just a cheapened LST . I`m a big Losi fan , but lately they keep banging out these cars so fast and have problems with them . I remember we were running XX-CR and XX-TCR for years . Now as soon as you buy the new kit a new one is out .

i don't really care if it hurt's revo 3.3 sales. i've run one and i'm not impressed at all. why do people do this crap they seem to forget one is 1/10 scale and the other is 1/8 scale BIG difference. the two trucks are not in the same class at all no comparison. and before anybody goes raging me i've had just about every t-maxx out. 1/10 scale is fun to start out with but when you drive a good 1/8 scale like the lst you never go back.

I don't think it will affect the revo sales because they are very different trucks and to a newb they will either like one or the other

I think it will definetly take down Revo and T-maxx sales. Think about it from a noob stand point. You save 100 dollars. You get a big-ass engine. This thing is huge, and looks like a beast. And for the 100 bucks, you can get yourself a full RPM a-arm set, and lunsford titanium a-arm threaded things.

I think it will have a greater impact on Savage sales, but it will no doubt pull some money out of Traxxas' pocket also. It's cheaper than the Revo, that alone will make it a choice for more buyers, which in turn will take buyers away from the Revo. The radio might be a big step backwards, but I bet it's still better than what Traxxas and HPI are sending out with their trucks. No reverse?... no problem. The Savage doesn't come with one either, and a Traxxas reverse setup lasts what? 10 minutes? It's also bigger but it has similar performance, alot of buyers will consider that a major selling point. It has alot of good things going for it even though it's not decked out like the LST2.

Wow, three versions of the same truck in such a short time... looks like the Savage lineup now.

I'd love to sell my Revo for an LST2! I bought my Revo and then bought my LST2 and now I wish I woulda bought the LST2 first and not wasted the money on the Revo. I'll trade my Revo for a new, in the box, LST2 anyday.

Revo---OS 18TM, FOC, JR 310 receiver, dual JR 590 steering servos, aluminum pushrods, Proline wheels, HPI Dirtbonz tires, + all stock servos, 2.5R, radio, receiver, 2 rough bodies, and anything else lying around for the Revo.

Just send my LST2 in the box with plastic still on it!

The only difference I see is that they just made it cheaper than the LST1 .

judging by the pics on horizonhobby it has threaded shocks, and there is no rear tie rids so im guessing it has the a arms and cvds from the lst2, and it has the aluminum diff cases. incidentally my dad has a lst and 3 of my buddies have lst2's, i alone run a savage, and the only thing the lst ever broke is a cvd, while the lst2's blow out diffs cup's like theres no tomorrow. in one of em a set screw fell off in the trans and locked it up. and the original a arms are a joke. its a lot of money for the lst im glad they came out with the aftershock. the radio's they all come with are great and make up for some of the added cost. i was considerin the aftershock until i seen tamiya's new tnx 5.2r.

Its targeted mainly for people who really don't want to peel out the cash for a lst2.I know from experience when i first got into the hobby. I was more interested in looking for the cheapest most popular truck out so i bought a tmaxx. Then i moved up to a revo. And then i came to my senses and bought the best monster truck out the lst2.Yes i said best.So for a new comer spending his cash on a aftershock would really make his nitro experience more pleasent.

2 channel remote and no reverse but you can still program other vehicles into the remote that also only needs 2 channels... consider it to be a lightened LST with forward only
