Udairi Speedway, Kuwait
Hello from Camp Buehring, Kuwait. We are about 10 miles from the Iraq boarder and actually have a track on camp. The civilians bring fuel (and sometimes parts) on base for us. There are about 20 racers that come out every Sunday night for a 1/10 and 1/8 main. Here are some pictuers of my LST2. There is anothe race track on a camp further south of us near Kuwait City, but from what I hear, ours is a little nicer.

RE: Udairi Speedway, Kuwait
Thanks for the well wishes. Things are calm here in Kuwait, a lot of my friends had to go to Ramadi and things are pretty bad up there. I got lucky and am still here conducting training for medics.
@ Mable: It is weird at first seeing people carring M16 and M249's when they are working on their trucks. I will try to get some pictures of that next week.
@ Hissyfit10: Not too many of those robots here. They use them in Iraq tho to check out IED's (Improvised Explosive Devices) etc. I wish we had one so we coudl get some on board video!
@spinacz: not my place to criticize Bush or politics. I see the comparision you are trying to make. Just to clarify tho, Iraqis are good Insurgents are bad. Not all Insurgents are Iraqi's. There is a LHS at the Marina Mall in Kuwait City. I'm not allowed to go there but the civilians can go. We just tell them what we need and they bring it. Unfortunately, they don't carry Losi parts...only Traxxas, HPI, etc etc. Still Horizon Hobby ships to here, Hobbypeople.net ship FOR FREE to us, and losipartshouse.com ships really quick.
I have about 5.5 months left here then it's back to Germany. We are going to try to get our base to build us a track when we get back. I heard there is a track at Ramstein AFB, but it would still be nice to have our own.

RE: Udairi Speedway, Kuwait
Hey, nice track there. there are alot of LHS's in Kuwait, i think theres about 10 that i know of.
There's one in Galleria 2000, Salmiya. it's called Hobby Time. they are my favorite. they carry HPI, Traxxas, Ofna, GS, Mugen, XRay, Losi, Hot Bodies, Proline, FG ModelSport and alot of others too. They also have a track in Benaider. the track is still new tho.
there's another one close to Marina Mall. its in a building called Wataniya. its called Kuwait Hobby Center. they have HPI, Traxxas and a few others, good prices and will get you anything you see online.
Then theres 2 other LHSs in Kuwait City. they're in a mall called Muthanna. one carries mostly Kyosho (very good prices and well stocked) and the other carries mostly Tamiya (a lil overpriced but not too bad)
there are alot of others but most carry cheap stuff or way overpriced.
i'm a Kuwaiti civilian BTW.
SSS.
