Help with washers for Proline Wheel Hexes
There are 4 washers per wheel hex, but they don't fit over my axle. They stop at the end of the thread on the axle. There is a lot of slop, can't imagine they would go elsewhere but between the pin and bearing. Should they go over the smooth part of the axle, behind the axle pin? If so they don't fit.
Speaking of pins, is piano wire the best thing to get? In two tanks of bashing I snapped 3 wheel pins, and one axle pin. Will heatshrink wrap help?
This collari on the LST1 is beginning to expose weaknesses in the drivetrain, finally got it running (still using the mach 26 pipe too) and the weaknesses so far seems to be these pins. Or maybe they are breaking because the washers for the new 23mm's aren't installed on the truck.
Help appreciated.

I would use some other washers to get the play out. This will cause a bunch of breaking. Too much stress on your axle. Get bigger washers and put them on

Thanks, I took a dremel stone and opened each washer just a little to fit. Kinda weird, they seemed to be the same exact diameter as the axle itself, just a little grinding and they now fit. Hopefully I won't go through those pins like I was.

RE: Help with washers for Proline Wheel Hexes
Do yourself a favor and dump those ProLine crappy hex's. If they had made the stupid hexes with the hole for the axle pin more recessed, washers would be unnecessary. Its a horrible design.
The CNR hexes are much better, no washers required. You can get them [link=http://www.killerhobbies.com/Browse_Item_Details.asp/Item_ID/877/categ_id/32/parent_ids/0,90,18,32/Name/Crazy_Nut_Racing_23_mm_hex_adapters_-_CNR866]HERE[/link]
