www.killerhobbies.com
he is a reputable seller that you can find on the forums; nice if you need assistance with something. ships fast and cheap. and his prices are the best around.
email him to get the real price; he cant show the price publicly I dont think. I think its around 580$.

If you're willing to buy from ebay, go ahead. But for an online store I would either suggest www.killerhobbies.com or www.ultimatehobbies.com (if they carry the LST2 in stock). Those are some "discount" (lower prices than Tower, Horizon, etc.) RC stores that I know of. Good luck saving up, I feel your pain of wanting the truck instantly!

well the tank is 220cc; approx 10min of run time.
a gallon is about 4500cc; which is about 20 tanks of fuel.
so approx 200minutes or a bit over 3 hours.
there isnt really such a thing as a "starter truck" when it comes to nitro. they all need to be approached with alot of caution; they are dangerous. 12lbs at 40mph can do serious damage to a person; the engine and exhaust get plenty hot to cause severe burns. and the moving parts can shred fingers.
with that said; take caution with it and dont do anything dangerous. and get assistance from parents and the hobby shop workers where needed and the LST can be very fun.

glow plugs and fuel is about it.
batteries for the transmitter.
general use will cost you more than just fuel. clutch shoes, and parts will inevitably break.

RE: lst2 ?s
Waiting a year to get your truck will mean having to make an even harder decision when 'the next best thing' comes out between now and then. Things are changing rapidly in r/c, and an even better racing truck could come out.
To be perfectly honest, this hobby may be a bit outside your means, especially if you want to race. I have spent much more on support equipment than all my racing trucks put together. Tools, chargers, tables, extra parts, tires, air compressor... etc etc.
If you want to be one of these guys
you're going to end up needing something like this
Now I'm not saying you can't race casually, without a ton of support equipment or spare parts... but having all that stuff makes life MUCH easier. Good tools are a necessity IMO. And there will always be something on your 'got to get' list. So if you are having a hard time saving up just for the truck, this is something to think about.

RE: lst2 ?s
bashing just breaks more stuff IMO. depends howyou bash. if you drive in circles, thatll be ok.
but if you start jumping and such; you'll be replacing parts and going through fuel like no tomorrow.

RE: lst2 ?s
lol yeah; a year.
dont take this the wrong way, but I know sticking with something like this for a year at 12 years old probably wont happen
atleast it never would have for me. my attention flipped around every other week. in a year this will be a different sport and you will probably be asking what to get for your LST3.
