Default Maybe it's a Ruckus someplace else...

So I go to take my tranny out to see what is making the noise in reverse. First thing I do is take the slipper/spur off (of course...) and then I spin it in reverse and forward and not a peep. maybe My slipper? I did just put a new spur on it. So I spin the clutch bell for sh*ts and giggles and I hear a noise there, though not near as loud with the spur off. so I loosen it and check the bearings, they seem fine. I put it back on and spin it with out the bolt holding it on and not a sound. I put the bolt back on and I hear noise again. i loosen the bolt but I still hear noise. I put the spur back on and it makes the noise again.

I just changed the spur and pinion to a 22/66. I bought a new clutch bell so I could put the different pinions on it. so I replaced both of them. Could the new bell be rubbing on the shoes? any ideas now?

Most likely the bell rubbing on the flywheel... unless you have aluminum shoes? Some aluminum shoes sit out a bit farther than others. I've had to grind the clutchbell before to get it it fit right. If its rubbing on the flywheel, add shims.
