remove washer from aftershock?
hey I have heard that the engine washer needs to be removed from the lst, but does this also apply to the engine of an aftershock? Thanks.

RE: remove washer from aftershock?
But think about this: if someone buys a used LST under 12,000, and the previous owner didn't rermove the washer, and they come on this forum, then they'll be pissed that the engine blew up, and since it was used, Team Losi won't do anything, and he will either sell the LST or have to buy a new engine.
So the sticky isn't bad. Just change the title: Remove the washer in LST's under #15000. Not lst2, aftershock

I still think it is a good thing.
Look, I bought mine in Febuary, and it turned out to be a 259, and it still had the washer. had that thing been take down, my engine would have been trashed

RE: remove washer from aftershock?
I don't really care either way... but stickies aren't supposed to be there to address an occasional or rare occurance that might happen to a truck that isn't even being produced anymore. Any stock LST that didn't have that washer removed probably has a different engine it in already.
How about replacing it with a stickie about the common little annoying problems, like that brittle engine brace or the bad positioning of that stock fuel filter. Maybe a stickie for common mods. That would be good reading for people like me, who fought mad breakage issues when I first got the truck.
It's also kind of weird that this is the only MT forum that even has this type of stickie. The LST pic stickie is only on page 38.... the one that was floating in the HPI forum went up to almost a hundred pages and at least one more has been made since then. A member over there made a post about all of the things to check before firing up a Savage for the first time, complete with pictures... but for some reason they won't make it a stickie. As long as we have them in this forum, why not use them to the fullest?

^^I know what your talking about man. T-Birds start up thread, I assume? That really should be stickied.. Especially with all the little noobs running around in there. (which is why you'll hardly ever catch me in there, even though I own a pretty trick savvy).
