Help to tighten the fly wheel
Hello. This weekend my flywheel came loose. It is no longer seated tightly against the conical brass fitting. My question is - how to I tighten the nut agains the fly wheel. It keeps spinning the crank shaft. I've got an OFNA flywheel wrench (http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXBDV1&P=0) but that doesn't seem to help. It still spins the crank shaft. I've heard of piston locking tools is this what I need or is there another solution??? Thanks in advance for any help suggestions provided.

RE: Help to tighten the fly wheel
i dont like to use piston locking tools as it will put direct and unwanted stress on the conrod bushing (not good). Whenever this happens to me what i do is give the flywheel a little tap back on to the collet (brass fitting) and then put a smalll handle (plastic) from a small screw driver in the main intake port right down in the opening from the crankshaft (you will need to take your carb out for this method). Then pull out that flywheel wrench, line it up and tighten er down. Dont forget to thread lock the engine flywheel nut!
