Default New Bod for my LST2..

Well, it was typical November weather here in Germany(HORRIBLE..), so instead of breaking her in, I did her up a new bod.. Still has a few stickers to go, and the blower - leaving that for 2moro morning.. I'm terrible at bods - can't believe I spent the WHOLE day doing this...

If you're terrible at bods, how come that came out pretty decent? It really looks good IMO, I like the all black scheme.

Well, thanks.. Actually, this did turn out pretty decently.. Except the stupid silver. Silver always runs on me.. The dumb little piece that goes over the blower didn't come out so well. I'd prefer it without the blower frankly - but I wasn't sure I'd be able to cut it all out right... We'll see 2moro once everything is dry..

Looks good Patrick. I was sure the first thing you would do, as far as looks go anyway, is throw some 23mm adapters and chrome wheels on it, since you hate those dish wheels so much.

** Bonus points for using an HPI body on it... although the "Big Block" Savage sticker might not agree with some people The HPI MT bodies look good on everything, and I think the slightly smaller body looks better on the LST than the ones made for it.

Here's one of my HPI Rubicon shell back when it was new. It's just sitting on top of the LST2 body posts since it's off of my Savage and the holes didn't line up.

Nice Jeep Chronic(not the biggest fan of the Rubicon bodies, but it does look good on your LST.. Don't know, it looks all out of scale to me on a Savage - less monstery...) Anyway, thanks.. Here's the finished product..:

(BTW, these dish wheels are growing on me... Though yeah, some nice chrome rims on Big Joes would be nice..)

Grrrr....

Note: I cut out most of the back window - so the roll-bar is now a perfect handle.. Can just scoop it right up...)

Hm.... I do that on me Revo, but burned my hand....

Just wondering, what is that Sponge-Thing on the Motor Head?

Your German? I was there a year ago, and you speak pretty good english for a German... Now you guys can start learning Swedish so it's easier for both sides when you go on Vacation in the North..

It's got the RPM head-protector on it, and I just put the sticker that was on the engine head on it.. Still not broken in..

Nope, American living here.. - and teaching English, so I hope my English is pretty good(though here in the forum I don't - and don't want to.... - worry about it much..)

The pipes, you mean?? You CAN just cut them off.. I like'em tho.. Tho it doesn't fit perfectly over the gear case.. Good enough though..

Hey Pat, you anywhere near Peine?

Any way, the body looks great in my opinion! I wanted to get the ElComino, but was scared it wouldn't look good. It actually does look goos on the LST2 though. I'm with you on the blower though, that was another thing stopping me. I think they look cheesey. I'd remove it. Did you know in one of the wheel wells you cut out was a plug of sorts for the hole if you wanted to remove the blower? A perfect fit if you can cut straight lines. I wouldn't mess with it now though, it looks good!

Thanks.. Yeah, with the blower, I just figured, start with it, and when it gets screwed up, I can always cut it out and put in that insert - which yeah, I saved..(what put me off it though was that in the body the lines where you're supposed to cut aren't all that clear....) Anyway, I think scale-wise it works pretty well. I'd like to see a Cuda or Dodge Charger and how that would look.. The Charger is even longer - I think - so that would probably look good too.. And I'm often just surprised how cool Cuda bodies look on MT's..

Peine? Sorry, no idea where that is..

How would the old Ford Bronco body look on an LST2? Looks biggish on a Savage...
