No cons to either, LST2 = bash and mod to race, Muggy = great out the box racer and novice friendly.

You cant go wrong with either, just dont get anything Traxxas again and you'll be fine

depends on what you want it for. for bashing the lst2 is a great choice for me does everything i want and more and is a solid truck. i was going to get a muggy first then i heard about the clutches being bad and people having trouble right out of the box so i ended up buying a lst2 and im glad i did.

And a mate of mine has gone through zero clutches in 2 gallons of fuel, "it eats clutches" isnt strictly true, thats like saying ALL Losi screws need threadlocked, mine didnt need any attention.

Even if you have clutch problems, a simple vented clutch bell will hopefully sort it out.

Great input guys. Thanks. I am leaning towards 1 LST2 and 1 Savage. Can anyone direct me to a site that has good looking aftermarket wheels for the LST2? Also, do the proline bodies fit on the LST2 with a little mod? I want to use the F-650 Ford body and the Hum-Vee bodies.

The LST was teh original Team Losi monster truck. Very successful and had great handling characteristics.

Losi listened to what broke or was troublesome on the original, and fixed it on teh LST2!

The Aftershock is closer to the orig LST, with several improvements added, but w/o reverse, and teh hi/lo range tranny.
