Chassis problem...

Chassis problem...
My chassis top plate is cracked and needs replacement. Should I buy an entire chassis or should I just buy an expensive top plate like the:
Losi HD plate or
Holeshot Engineering CF top plate or
Losi HP graphite top plate ?????
Please advise me on what to do. The entire chassis brand new is max 15 bucks but all those other brands I mentioned are pricey but I will pay for something if it's really good. I just don't know if it is. Thanks.
Oh btw, I am a strict basher, no racing at all but I would still like to keep weight down if possible.

So theres no point in investing money on those expensive chassis hop-ups?...Oh and the shipping is 14.75 for Canada[:@][:@][:@][:@]plus I'm not sure if I'll be taxed at the post office.

JB Weld I tried just didnt hold. The crack is right in between the motor and the central transmission. I just want to buy a new chassis because that way I can be guaranteed that there wont be any future problems and my motor will not move which can cause 100 more problems by ripping up the gears etc.
