Default Pro-line bead loc rims. Should i get them? (read post first)

I have heard if i should get the Pro-line Commando Bead-loc 40 Series 23mm HD rims? I have heard some bad things about them but i still really like them. If you said no, post why and/or a post what you think is better. Remember, they must fit Moab 40 series.

Thanks

I'd say just use glue. Glued wheels are lighter, stronger, and you can reuse them if you want... I'd say get the cheyennes (spelling?)
I think they fit moab 40s?

Ya. You'll strip the screws, mess up the tires, and break mre stuff because of the extra weight. It'll just be a pain in the a** [:@]

i have the axial 8 spoke bead lockers and i really like them but i knew in advance to be easy when putting in the screws and had no problem but it does take a while to put all the screws in,(like an hour) i have not broken anything since installing them either but if and when i go to get new tires i wont have to get new wheels however some people say you can get the glue off the others by boiling them in water or heating them in the oven.... but dont get them for the bling cause mine started peeling before they ever hit the ground especially around the lug nut...oh yeah they have big joes mounted on 'em...great traction on grass and dirt

Ya, i'm going to be getting some big joes w/ proline cheyene wheels. Or i might just get some proline 17mm dish rims (stronger and lighter) w/ some badlands mt tires =-]

No. For the reasons already mentioned - too heavy, and who wants to check 96 screws before and after every day of running??

For 40 series wheels, I would get following:

1.) Proline Wabash with 17mm - look cool in yellow, or get white and dye black..
2.) Axial XL rims(they look cool - black..)
3.) Losi 420's are awfully easy if you're already 20mm...

i had them they were way to heavy. to much stress on drive train. to many screws most strip out. they dont hold the tire well enough to keep the bead of the tire from coming off the rim.

I'm actually bidding on a set of savage wheels right now. The ones that come with the savage x4.6. Those wheels combined with the gt2 tires make for an all round setup, its light, its grippy on EVERY surface and it absorbs jumps beautifully and it lasts forever.

Ya, i was thinking of doing that, plus you can get them for cheap. And i already have 17mm hexes for my muggy, so it would be an easy swap for my aft. after i get the lst2 update (in like 1 month)

I would say, get regular wheels/tires. Maybe dish rims or wabash wheels, because it's much easier, looks pretty good and is great for durability and wear =-]

YAY, got me a set of savage wheels. That was a fierce auction. Got em for $26.00 but shipping to Canada is a major rip so thats costing another 24.50 but for $50.50 I think I got a pretty good deal on an awesome set of tires. I'll try em out as soon as i get them and let you all know how they are.
