LST2 already in the shop
Took the beast down the bmx track today to finish break-in and start really getting a tune on it, and all I can say is WOW, how much fun is this thing, that was until my RHS spindle broke[:@]. Gonna have to order some new era alloy ones pretty soon. Also, not real happy with the wing mount, it seemed to cop a bit of tweaking (ok, I had a couple big crashes, track really rough and just sends it tumbling at times). All in all though, I'm loving this thing, pretty hard to keep the front wheels on the ground

Do you work on your own truck? Or do you let the LHS do it? Just curious.

Placed the order for my parts, now play the waiting game. In the meantime an order already placed should arrive pretty soon with lots of goodies for both my trucks to keep me busy.

the reason for that is, the market is made up of mostly RTR trucks and cars. the part of this hobby (and the most fun )of building your own car is long gone. my local hobby shop has the counter lined up with cars and trucks in need of repair.most people can't work on their car because they took the easy way out and purchased a RTR and shame on all you parents that that short changed your kid on the experiance of knowing what its like to build some thing from scratch.i realy put the blame on mc traxxas the fast food line of toy grade rc

RE: LST2 already in the shop
I work in a LHS. There are so many reasons someone leaves a rc to be worked on. Here we charge $20 a hour labor and most tune ups are $10. For me its fun to work on different rc cars and trucks.

I take advice and learn from them, but do my own work.

RE: LST2 already in the shop
I am guilty of having an RTR, but also realize that RTR kits are great for people on a budget, like myself.
Even though both my vehicles are RTR kits (Duratrax Raze, and Losi Aftershock), if something breaks I always fix it myself, and I am always thinking of ways to upgrade or improve the car.
Half of the fun of having a hobby like this is doing the work yourself.
In my opinion, if you are going to have the LHS do all the work, this hobby is not for you.
Get a dog, you will be much happier.

I wish everyone would take a moment and read post #3 in this thread, in the shop is used as a figure of speech. All of my R/C's are in the shop right now also.

If you just bash ditch the wing and grab a new era roll-bar. I hit trees mid air going for massive air at the BMX and that bar soaked everything up.
