RE: receiver battery?
I have an 1100 mah nimh that works well. some people may say to get a 2000 mah. due to longer run time between charges. I think mine is a dynamit 5 cell flat pack.

RE: receiver battery?
You know about the battery holder underneath the truck? any quality flat pack will work. I'd suggest a hump pack and either mount it to the front shock tower or some place else on the top side of the chassis. There are a number of AA rechargeables with over 2000 mah ratings, if you have a soldering iron you can make a hump pack of nice rating and smaller size.

RE: receiver battery?
that't a good idea. How do you wire them thought? Series, Paralell? how many do you use? Can you use just energizer rechargables? Maybe you have some pictures for us Grits

RE: receiver battery?
5x1.2v cells are used to make a 6v RX pack and are wired in series using tag connectors. If using AA's instead of 3/4 C cells, make sure that the radio box will acommodate the pack size.I only ever use upto 1500mah as anymore just isn't needed for me as a basher, racers may like the extra capacity of say 2400mah or more so they can get a days competing from one fully charged pack.AA's are now found with upto 3000mah per cell. You can make a 6v 2700mah RX pack from AA's for under £12 here in the UK.Even AAA cells are upto 1100mah capacity these days,I made a 1100mah AAA 6v RX Flat pack the other day for my Lightning GTX2 by using 5 x Vapextech 1100mah AAA cells, some single strand copper, 2-3mm from twin and earth electrical wire and a good solder station with 60/40 Tin/Lead solder, battery technology has really come on in the past few years to the RC hobbyists benefit...

hey probably a stupid question but, does the aftershock have the same kind of battery box as lst-lst2? the one that's on the bottom side of the truck.

RE: receiver battery?
Just make a battery pack out of duracell rechargeables. I can go through 2 bash sessions on one charge without any problems. Takes 10mins to build but it will last a long time. I got 2400 or 2500mah btw.
