Default studded tyres(metal spikes, like ice tires) to LST2?

Winter is coming here and the lakes get frozen. There are lot´s of space to make great tracks but where can i buy studded tyres to my LST2? Without them car doesen´t get a grip on slippery ice.

I´ve heard that people put screws to tires etc. but it would be nice to get "real" winter tires without afraiding that one of the loose screws fly to someones eye[]

I've never seen studded tires for R/C, I have seen chains though.

Well,
I don´t go to lake before the ice is 4" thick(u can drive with a tank and it will not break) and at the end of the winter it´s 40" so i think it will not break under me
Finland is about the same level like Canada so almoust the same weather in winter times......a bit colder perhaps

kinda like ice road truckers..seems like they would be easy enough to make just run some screws through from the inside and put washers on them then they could not come out unless the tire shreds ...drilling slightly smaller holes would help keep the rubber from tearing or maybe a thin piece of sheet metal inside the tire the width of the tread like a belted tire for added protection , it would be kinda time consuming tho

Here's a pretty cheap and very effective way to get spiked.

It took a little while but worked out really good.

I'm way up north in Sweden so I know what Finvee means and we do need the spikes up here.

I dont have pics but from the days of running atvs in the winter i had gotten a set of flat track knobby tires and put screw in all the knobs for running in the snow and ice and it worked real good so iam thinking get a set of flat street tires and put screw in them to grip the ice and snow.

With the spikes it handles like it's summer. I´ve noticed that for snow and packed snow 1/2" is perfect, with ice the should be more like a 1/4" length.

I bet studs for bike tires would work.
