Convert LST to LST 2 or RPM arms?
I want to start racing my LST and I'm wondering what your input is on getting RPM arms or converting to LST 2. If I convert to an LST 2, I'm not gonna get the conversion kit, I'm just gonna get the parts separatley. I don't want the wheels, 20mm hexes, or the transmission case.

If you add it up, it's actually cheaper to buy the LST2 conversion....I priced it out recently, and the kit is a good deal.....you save about $70....

I have RPMs on my LST2. They're great and all, but in retrospect, I don't think they're worth the money, especially given how cheap you can get stock LST2 parts from chop shops. LST2 A-arms don't break enough to warrant the price of RPM's with Lunsford links. I have no experience with LST1s or AS's, but I bet their spares are dirt cheap too. Are they that weak? One factor I imagine would be the type of tracks you plan on running on. I.e., if lots of big jumps with higher potential for breakage, then OK upgrade. If not though, maybe just buy some cheap backup AS parts and invest elsewhere..

Alot of Racers use the Stock arms without many Problems...... (Personally I'd do the LST2 up Grade & the RPMs)
PS, the Upgrade kit is 109 at Amain....

As with Anything they Sell from Horizon they have to show the MAP Price (Minimum Advertisable Price Set by the Mfg) Put it in your cart to see the Real price

I had the LST1 had was always breaking the arms and went to RPM arms and solved that problem . I have a XXL on the way and hoping arms have improved , if not RPM arms will be put on . I`d get the RPM arms , yes LST arms are much cheaper but it sucks to DNF because the stock POS arms break in the middle of a race .

There are some pics around somewhere comparing LST1 to LST2 arms. The latter are much beefier. Yes, they will still break, but I think they're a good bit tougher than the LST1 arms.

I have the RPMs on the front of my Aftershock, and I just added the Lundsford titanium turnbuckles to them the other night.....I'm still debating the LST2 kit, but I don't hammer my truck anywhere near as hard as some do, so I think I'll stick with stock for now.....axles are only about $7, and as long as spares are cheap I'll go that route for now....
