Front and Rear Drive Shafts too short!! HELP
I just got a barely used LST and the front and rear drive axels just barely go into the couplings on the trans. I thought that I could just move the couplings out and reset the set screw but their isnt enough room for that. Any one else have this problem or know what could be out of adjustment? Thanks in advance.

It is designed like that, as long as the pin is ocmpletely in the cup you are good to go. Can you post a photo, it's easy to check them for you then.

obviously the front is out but that was because of hitting a stop sign about 6 feet off the ground but the back is normal if you can tell from this pic

You picture is just like the rear on mine so that makes me feel better, however the front is still not that close. I guess I am going to try and shim it with a thin washer??. Now I cant get a rim off, the nut spins even when i hold the dog bone, that would tell me the rim is worn down, any other thoughs??

I have suspected that the truck's frame maybe just bent up enough in the front, but all the allen screw holes line up well. I will try and get pictures up here in a while.
As for the wheel issue, if I hold the CV and dont allow it to spin, I can still spin the nut on the wheel and it turns along with the shaft it is on.

The I can hold the tire and after taking the entire area apart I cant see anything moving when I turn the socket. I know the nut turns and the threaded shaft turns as well so what ever is on the back side of the tire that I can't see is what is broken.

there is a pin that goes through the axle and the hex I'm thinking that is the problem...like its not there or its broken, but broken seems not really likely... does the axle come apart when you took off the arms here is an exploded view maybe it will help ...this is from an aftershock the lst1 is similar the lst2 is a little different but basically the same

I thought about the pin too, but either way I would have to cut the nut and\or rim off. The problem was a compouding issued and here is what I found. The guy that had the truck before me stripped out the 17mm hex fitting and the hex in the rim. Then to fix that he tightened the nut so tight to keep the axel from spinning free (i dont think that worked) he stripped the threads and nut. So needless to say I have to replace a rim, nut, hex and the axel. On the positive side it will be done right when I am done. Thanks for everyones help. Oh and where are people seeing the best prices on LST parts?

http://cgi.ebay.com/Losi-Raminator-F...d=p3286.c0.m14 http://cgi.ebay.com/Team-Losi-Wheels...d=p3286.c0.m14 you may want to check which side they are n cause the nuts tighten in different directions
