Use a APC 13X4W and 30% heli fuel "Cool power". Pull-out of a hover will be fine. That is what I am using and power is great!!
A 14X4 is a bit too much prop for the YS 63.

I've run several 13x6's on my 63 in the FUntana, noe of them pulled out of the hover all that well. I tried a 14x5 Zinger and got much better pull from the hover with it. I think the 14x4 wide from APC would work well too but didn't get a chance to try one.

i am maxing out on the RPMs with the 63. I forgot what rpms it is but i the guys at the field say that if i go any faster i will blow a piston. my plane is just over 5 lbs.

i have a new carb for it and it no longer sticks. i was just out flying this morning and i was pulling out of hovers just fine now. its ben really hot and it was kinda cold this morning and i had loads more power. it must have ben running a bit to hot.

Curious, my 63, running Coolpower 30% heli fuel, 13x4W prop on a 6lb 2oz plane, has unlimited vertical at 3/4 throttle. Don't see why it would have any problems with the lighter funtana.

What kind of RPMs are you running? The YS 63 likes to run in the low to mid 11,000s. Under that and your just loading your engine down. Try a 13x4W.

Hopefully, I'll be able to get mine w/ 63 out this weekend if I can bear the pain. Been out on a work related injury for the last 3 weeks....aargh!!

i will tach my RPMs tomarrow when i'm flying. i think its probly just the heat. it seems to pull out of a hover fine when its cold out. i dont want to go down a prop cuz i am alomost over reving my engine. if i go much faster i will break something.
