I just did something last weekend that I've never done before. Smoked two brand new stock motors back to back in heats with my XXXT. I'm completely lost as to why this happened. I am using a brand new LRP IPC V7.1 speed control and geared at 22 pinion/86 spurr. I smoked a new Revenge of Monster and a Trinity P2K. My diff seemed to be running pretty smoothly, nothing seemed to be locked up in the drive train either. My truck was running a bit slower than I was expecting as well. Not to mention my batteries didn't have full punch for the 5 minutes. I'm using Orion 3300's rated at 410+ 1.78 voltage. Should have had more than enough run time for stock.
After each heat my motor was litterally smoking and even the plastic skid plate felt like hot metal. Could it be bad oil drops I added to the bushings, or the comm drops I injected? What else could have caused this? Any info could possibly be my fix. Thanks!

i am having simlar problems racing a tc3 on the carpet. with the gp3300 it seems that everyone is dropping a few teeth because of the higher voltage. you might try that and see what happens.

I will try that. A couple buddies of mine were running 21/88 without any problems. I check it out and see how it works.
