Hello friends!

Dave then Jet Cat turbine is best suited for this model to drive both a correct CG. Will the new P-100RX of 1080kg. or P-120SX weight of 1300 kg?

I personally like that faster is better but I also worry that too fast between the hours of landing and even more so on a track like ours paved only 150 meters!

What is the perfect balance of the aircraft for Jet Cat?

Greetings.

Either would be fine, the P-100RX performance would be like the P-80SE video, but Spain is a HOT country so use the new JetCat P-140RX (P-120 SX is no longer available)
With a P-140RX balance is fine using average battery size. With P-100RX slightly smaller battery, but the UF is fine at normal finished weights.

Regards

Dave

I am planning on getting a Flash .So how does it perform on The p80. It looks fantastic from the video , but I would just like to have some of your thoughts please .

Good flying

I was quite happy with the performance, it still flies from 100M grass and has a good top speed. Vertical although not unlimited was enough to get it to a small dot on a true vertical climb. You get a good idea from the video.
If you have a P-80SE, I would have no fear in getting an UF. Also it's easy to go up in size with JC.

Dave

Hello again Dave!

If heat if it does and more so in the part where I find myself in the Canary Islands and the track is almost sea level.

The problem is I want to run but also fly slowly, especially when landing, I worry that I stay depends on the turbine heavy choose, especially for our track that looks like an aircraft carrier.

I also worry about buying the P-120SX to a friend of the Club or new when they will leave the factory and then I do not know if you get spare parts. I do not know if a P-140RX motor will be much for this aircraft and heavy!

Greetings.

the flash will slow to a crawl regardless, it's one of a very few airframes that IMO weight isn't an issue with it.

KC is right

P-140RX is the same weight, we fly from 90m grass and I have flown the UF (P-120SX) there many times. To answer your question in one. P-120SX or P-140RX is the ultimate turbine for the UF. Spares and back up with JetCat are not an issue. Any parts that normally fail will be available for years, if you are very unlucky and have a major problem, JetCat will look after you too.

I am also trying to decided on which engine to put in my UF that i have coming, it's between the p140RX and the merlin 140, i really like the idea of the jetcats neat and quick install and is a bit cheaper, but the merlin is alot smaller lighter and puts out the same power. I could just stick with my merlin 160 that i already have

No....tough aeroplane. No worries if you use the correct quality of equipment, radio power supply the most important, the best servos are rubbish with out electricity

Although many pilots suffer with limited throttle control, you will only fly as fast as you are comfortable...or you will crash

I could give many reasons why you should buy a JetCat, but its your choice

Dave or turbine speed in your opinion is the maximum that you can put this aircraft to fly at full throttle without fear of breaking electronics and equipping the best team?

I say this because most of the pilots that we like the speed and we bought a Jet Sport is to go faster and faster is better, but of course everything has a limit and I did not want to exceed!

My station does not think it's the best but will suffice I think, is the new Futaba 8FG Super. What I recommend servos?

Thank you.

The 8FG super has 14 channels and the s-bus. It can then almost handle 2 Ultra Flashes at the same time. You'll be fine. Mine has Savox 1256 TG:s that deliver 20 kg:s and use Futaba compatible servo wheels. They are not even expensive. JR 8411:s will also do well.

To Dave and others using the P80SE or P100RX: would you recommend adding the wing tank, or just the fuse tank would be a better option, as far as the compromise between flight times and performance? For example, with what kind of fuel tank set up was that plane on the video with the P80SE flying?

Forgive me if this has been covered before in such a long thread...

Thanks up front to all responders.

Wing tank used. You need the wing tank (or a second tank anyway) with almost any turbine.
With the P-80/P-100 you will be at full power longer than with larger turbines, so fuel use is similar.

It's no trouble using it.

Dave

Dave Ultra Flash Kit brings these two tanks, at least I seem to read this link? Brings If you do not need to buy the side, but certainly are more convenient to remove the wing?

Stove servos'll remember you mentioned.

Thank you!

Woh, You are starting to lose me now

Wing tank is an extra, you need to order with the kit each time.
Servos 9.0kg+ torque, quality brands only.

Thanks Dave for answering so fast!

I have not yet asked for anything and do not know if you get to buy the Ultra Flash, I have if I sell my Spark to save something, but what if you want to do is make numbers to see how much it would cost me altogether.

My intention would be to put a P-120 or P-140. Dave and servos are those of 9kg. of torque that support the thrust of these turbines?

A good weekend!

i'm not sure what the metric equivalents are but JR 8411's all around work great on the Flash even with a 160 blowing.

You won't flex the wing with a 140 in it.. I have a Titan SE in my UF and it will take that power all day long. Hundreds of flights. I'll probably be installing a p180rx with bypass in my new UF when it gets delivered. Strongest sport jet on the market. 8411's all around as well.

Ha ha Cuz,,, Thinkin bout it. Fuel is the issue. I want smoke as well... If I must I'll stuff a 140 in it with a bypass and the conformal smoke tanks. That setup should still scoot..

After as if with a P-120 as the video is super fast and will be with the P-140 that weighs about the same and delivers two kilos more power!

With the P-140 as minutes you're flying? Do not have a video uploaded?

Thank you.

Ruy, a JetCat P120SX is 30lbs thrust and the P140Rx is 31lbs so I don't think you would see any big difference, The p140 is replacing the p120sx with JetCats new technology,

+1.......had mine out yesterday with the Jetcat 120sx in it.....pulled 11.75 g's according to the Jetcat GPS and we have maxed her out at 396km/hr....one tough jet. She might graduate to a 140 rx soon....got one coming next week!

I have dubro smoke tanks behind my inlets....not sure if it would be any quicker if I was running a full bypass with the conformal smoke tanks.......opinions?

Craig.
