I think you'll probably be happy enough with it. Go to Ezone and do a "Search" on Wingos. Lot's of people have posted about them. (I'll post a link below.)

I would suggest that you not try a glow plane until you can afford to get into them though. (Once you try glow, the Wingo isn't going to cut it anymore. )

The wingo is a good plane..

However IF you are going to try this by yourself you a better off with a GWS slow stick or pico stick. They are close in price.
The nice thing about the GWS planes is that they are inexpensive if you totally destory the pico stick beyond repair you can get another plane and motor for about 35.00 then you just put your old servos and battery in it. The wingo is more expensive to replace

Also GWS planes fly great and are sturdy.

I started out with a wingo 14 months ago and I still have it. One word of advice is to make sure that the center of gravity is set per the instructions.(you want it a little nose heavy) Then be certain to Velcro the battery in so that it can't move around.
The wingo will not take a lot of abuse with out breaking apart but it is almost always repairable with some 5 min. epoxy. I'v glued my wingo back together several times during the last year and it still looks like new(from a distance).

I've bought the wingo myself a couple of weeks ago and it's really good for a beginner. I've crashed it a few times during my first flight attempts, but without too much damage. Only the wheels came off during a rough landing and I've reinforced them with a little piece of wood that seems to do the job real good. It took some time building, but it wasn't hard.
I'm really happy with the way it flies (can fly real slow, it won't drop down when motor is off, ...) , but I will be getting a new battery pack to increase flight times.
