I'm looking into getting a Spylink 200mw Wireless Color Spy Camera. I see that it comes with the camera and a receiver, but I don't know what I can use to record the video as it is being transmitted...I have a camcorder already, but it has no video-input port. I dont want to spend much money on this since I dont have alot, hahaha. Does anyone have any inexspensive ideas for me?

Could I run that off a battery possibly?
I also might have an ancient VHS camcorder in the basement. I'll dig that up and see if it works for input...
Thanks for the tip!

You can probably run it off a car battery using a power inverter.
I would check the VHS camcorder first tho!

that power inverter sounds good. I found one for only $30 bucks!

Now I just have to figure out if my plane can handle the weight of a 9volt onboard...

Thanks for the tips!

Rucanunes uses a Sony Recordmansomethingorother for his recording. Great first video he made, by the way. Couple others here on the forum use their laptops with video capture cards.
VCRs have gotten pretty cheap along with portable VCR/TV combos, cheap being a relative term, of course.

thats a realy good idea, im thinking of just spending the extra 10 bucks, and getting the 2000 feet transmitting range. Then I might be able to record from my house, since I live about 600 feet from the field where I fly...

I would suggest having the Rx outside. Even better, on a 6ft pole(fubar's Idea).

You could stretch a long piece of wire....

Since the VCR is on the second floor, I could mount it outside in a weather cover, or just hang it out the window when I am recording and take it in when I'm done...Thanks for all the good ideas!
