CCRC1 -> Royal Evo Question (7/30/2003 4:17:11 AM)

Mike, I am looking hard at purchasing a Royal Evo TX and I have heard that it comes with a built in frequency scanner as an option. I have searched the Multiplex USA web site and I have the 2003 Multiplex USA catalog and there is no mention of this option anywhere. Is this option not available in the USA? If it is available, can you give me the proper part or option # so that my LHS can order it for me?
It is also my understanding that Multiplex is on positive shift so would there be any compatibility issues with current JR receivers?

The scanner is currently under development for 72mhz. They are available in Europe but won't be in the US for several more months.

Royal Evo's are still not in the country yet but are expected soon. The first version available will be the RE9 standard.

Yes, the Multiplex radios are positive shift.

Mike.

Mike,
By 'standard' do you mean non-synthesized?

Tower Hobbies was showing a stock date of late July for the RE9 synthesized, and has recently changed that to early August. Is there any hope they'll actually have this radio in stock any time this month?

Yes "standard" is the non-synth version. We are at the mercy of MPX right now and do not have a specific delivery date for them. We hope to see them sometime this month though but at this time I cannot say. They may show up tomorrow!

Mike.
