Was wondering how much nose weight people have had to add and what engine choice? Also how did it fly? I had to add almost 2lbs to the nose which puts in the 24lb range and a DA 50 just doesn't seem enough. What are your thoughts guys????

Hi CRI - not familiar with the ESM Spitfire but I was looking at a same size 1/5 scale PICA Spit, which I've heard very good things about. I was wondering the same thing about engines - I've got a brand new Super Tigre 60cc Twin I was thinking of using but the kit recommendations are for a 1.60 4-stroke and THAT seems really underpowered.

I pulled the da 50, put in a ZDZ 60 and then was fine on weight. It seems as though no one has flown this plane in the US yet. We will find out this weekend how she does.

Hi CRI -

I'll be looking forward to your report! What size prop are you going with?

DLE-55, XOAR 22x10, Sierra Giant retracts, 26 lbs. Flys great but a bit "floatie" on landings. I am going to try landing without flaps next time.
