Status: offline 		I was wondering which engine would be good to upgrade to from the AE.15 I currently have. It has decent compression but I feel like it'll give out soon and performance is starting to lack. I've been trying to search to see what other's are running but couldn't find anything. Let me know what you guys think! Thanks!

.12 is an old rule from the original days, but roar has abandoned GT at the lead of Horizon so rule is kinda mute issue.

We have had many show up with .15-.18 and in offroad racing there was no advantage, except maybe on tracks that are mostly flat and long runs. So if at the end of a race and a .12 is ahead of an .18 ... whats the advantage for bashing? .15&.18 are cheap I'll give ya that, but when u consider higher fuel consumption ... no monetary difference and there are plenty of good .12 out there at/near/or under $100.

To me this is a case of more doesn't give you better

Status: offline 		the gt2 can run any small block .. pilot shaft or threaded .. small blocks are usually .12 thru .18 .. get the type shaft that you already are running so the swap will be a snatch and drop

Status: offline 		I just bought the kit so was going to buy all new! Just some confusion on forums as to whether the OS18 will fit the GT2 it will fit the GT but not the GT2....? Anyone actually got one fitted?

GT2 you can run any small block nitro : standard threaded crank or SG crank" .. as a direct drop

GT you can run only small blocks with threaded short cranks .. as a direct drop

slide or rotary carbs can be used ... rotary are the preferred choice cause they are smoother in the midrange where it matters

Status: offline 		i suggest a O.S .12TZ 3port. drops right in. puts out 1.5 HP @ 40,000 rpm. the stock .15 motor only puts out .3 HP @ 20,000rpm. but you will need new motor nounts n a bump box. motor runs about $250-300
