Straight from the 1960's
Picked up an old Graupner Commodore a few weeks ago. Did a rebuild, new paint, wood, details and lights. Unusual style, straight from the 1960's. When I get the still camera working again I will take some better photos and show off the custom interior, all polished timber and brass rails, red curtains and seat covers. But for now a Vid

Sweet...I like it...
What size of motors do you have in it? It looks like it runs really well.

It has the twin motors it came with it, and they still work well. They are 6 volt Marx Monoperm Super 5 pole with a built in reversing switch.
It also had the old wire wound speed control, but I changed it to a modern one with a fail safe, (just in case).

Wow, I like it...those are some (obviously built in the 60's) funky couplers. They look like a couple of "ball joints" with a slider in the middle? They would make the motor setup easy I would think. Nice boat!....

I'm not familiar with this kit. It's a 1965 Chris Craft Romer if you ask me.

Yep,
She's a mid 60's Chris Craft. Now that you know what she is it will be easy to find more pictures. They come up pretty often for sale in the yacht classifieds. Try yachtworld.com or similar websites and you should be able to find more details for your boat.

Oztuck, I have one of these that was never completed. Don't recall having the box but do have the instructions, running gear, metal pieces and just never thought much about this kit. Are they still made? I have several Dumas kit, and one really big paddle wheeler about Half finished. I pretty much build Battleships or Square riggers like Constitution. These have all been in a storage container for the last 10 years, along with a 1/200 Yamato Battleship and the Lindberg Blue Devil Destroyer. Wonder if anyone might be interested in this kit?
You have done a great job with the boat, really well done.

As some might know I am also into 1/16 RC tanks so the figure is an off duty GI. It is a 21st century WWII US 1/18 action figure with new paint.
Thanks for the nice words guys, it helps a lot. Sax have you got anything in 1/72?
