I downloaded a plan that is a " .dc" file and I cannot open it. I have Autocad and Visio but I cannot find a translator.

Has anybody ever dealt with this before? I am computer literate but it is really driving me crazy!!

Any help would be graciously accepted.

Status: offline 		May be a DesignCad file. I no longer have it going here, but they have two file types and DC2 being the later style.

I do not know of any third party transfers, so need to have the originating party write it to a xx.DXG in R-12 format.

I think DC2 was R-13 equavalent.

Status: offline 		I found the Design Cad 30 day trial. It kept crashing but only after I saw the plan (dc format) I now know it is not the one I wanted.

Status: offline 		Hi Steve you might want to try this site they have a free program that can convert and open most files I had good luckwith a plan that I could not open in Autocad LT but could open with Autocad 2002. [url]www.columbus.arup.com[/url]
Also have youtried the Autodesk site for help?
