 I need to know have a 7.2v 4000Mah lipo how low can the voltage go because i am charging it now and it was at 6.63v.

If it is a lipo it shoould really be called a 7.4 and that is about the lowest resting voltage.

3v each is like red lining it. I think above 3.3 is ok, 3.7 minimum is best. If you do below 3 your charger may not charge it, I've had it do it once the first time I used a lipo, I've been more careful since.

7.4v is the resting or storage voltage (3.7V per cell) but fully charged it will go to 8.4 (4.2V per cell). i agree w/ the others to stop using um once they get to 3.2-3.3V per cell(6.4-6.6V) and def. do not let them go under 3.0v per cell as they may not take a charge again.

Just to make sure that anyone reading this thread, the voltages talked about, 3.0 - 3.3v per cell are the voltage readings under a load, not the final no load resting voltage, which should end up around 3.7v.

Just set your esc to a 3.2 to 3.3 volt cut off per cell and have fun! (2 cell = 6.4 to 6.6 cut off)
