Second try, not much better. I suck at flying in front of a stationary camera. I did put a throttle curve in and it has seemed to help smooth out the on off throttle. Still waiting on my new prop.

I have a 16x8 on it right now, that is correct. I've ordered a vess 18x6. Supposed to be shipped out monday. I think the 18x6 will be the ticket...I wish somebody made a wood 19x4...That would be even better. Maybe I can get JC Superprops to make one one off.

My proyak did the same thing. I will add stock when I recover over the winter. How big does the tri-stock need to be?

I didn't. I can get to the choke arm with my finger. So it is very easy to just flip it on and off.

lol I wasn't even thinking about what I was wearing in the picture.

The ground killed it.... The fact that I was doing low rollers and zoning out a bit probably didn't help either

LOL, I did the same thing about a year ago at a fly-in event here in OH. Was talking with my buddy while flying and we got engrossed talking about scale warbirds.....totally lost concentration doing low rollers and rolling loop turnarounds. smacked the hell out it into the ground!

yea same here, i had to put triangle stock on mine also.it must be the way we fly them,Blenders have claimed more than just one of my planes.the last Fusion i let it really wind up on the way down, slammed the sicks and both wings exploded off the fuse.

Hey, I just heard from Mike at Graph Tech and he said he is getting 20mm by 600mm carbon tubes early next year. I've been searching for a carbon wing tube for years for my Fusion.

Not so much the weight, but I dislike getting "aluminum paste" stains on my hands after every flight session.

Getting ready to start putting one of these together (Fusion/DLE20). OMP suggested CG and surface throws OK? Any "gotcha's" that anyone would like to share? Saw the triangle stock suggestion, sounds good after checking out the kit. What's everyone getting for an overall (dry) weight?

TIA -Al

oh and carefully cut with a small hand saw about 3/4" out of the back of the rails. To clear the carb. Keep the block that you cut out so you can glue it back in between the pieces of ply.

Turned out fine, I think. Still not sure where I'm going to end up regarding CG but getting close to minimizing possibilities and doing a mock up. I located engine by looking at your prop location, matching it pretty much. Ignition module located where yours must be. Lead on module points to the rear, wire then runs in back of carb to get to plug. Used some 1/2" stock to shim the cover they supply for that area to clean up that install. With the carb back this far, the supplied tank is too big. I have a 6 oz that fits pretty good. Would you guess that might give me a safe 10 minute flight?

6oz tank is what I'm using. For the first gallon until I had pretty much a final tune on it I had my timer set for 10:30 and was landing with about an ounce of fuel. Now after 150 flights I land after 10:30 and have roughly 2.5 ounces left. I normally do a fuel check at 10:30 and then fly for another couple of minutes.
