I built this plane for a friend and it seemed like it would be very easy to convert to glow, in fact if I had one I would definately make it glow.

Hi,

I converted it to glow few months ago, and i tried to fly it, but the problem was the engines, it must be and deliver the same power.
I should buy two engines OS 46 LA during May and will let you know.

Regarding the reinforcement, it takes a serious weight, it is around 5.2 Kg without fuel instead of the 4.8 kg as maximum communicated by e-flite.

a+

I converted one years ago and it's still flying. I used OS46 AX motors and made basically a tub to mount it to (front, sides and bottom with no top). I only had to add a little bit of weight to the tail and it flies great.

What a great flyer ! It's too bad they quit selling it last year.

I tossed around the idea of using a pair of OS .55AX's or .65AX's but went with electric instead.

I wasn't crazy about the playing card theme so all of the factory supplied decals came off.

Even after craching mine, your video encourage me to mount a second one with an Os 46 AX instead of LA, Good job...........
I m not inderstanding what you have said "made basically a tub to mount it to (front, sides and bottom with no top)", could you explain? I have difficulty to figure it out. English is my third language.

Thank you
