Ok fellows and Henry....I've tried to read through this 100page + thread but I have a few questions.

1. Can I get an unpainted jet or at least uncovered wings?
2. If NO to above, can I still get a blue white version that I can personally change to Air Force!
3. I have some struts and wheels already from a falcon 120 build I never finished. Not sure if they fit can't remember where I got them but it may have been Dreamworks. If they don't fit how much are the gear and will the wheels/brakes from the other gear fit?
4. I have the Rabbit 90 already with ZERO TIME on it. (that stinks!)...looks like that will work, how much is the slanted mount?

Thanks

Just print out your own and stick it on

There are lots of pics available online, I use sticky back photopaper, but you can print on ordinary paper and stick it on with glue.

here is one example I have used, I just crop it down to suit shape of the panel.

Where you referring to me? I don't recognize that area code. email or PM would probably be better as I can't call from work long distance weekdays very easily.

Got my second Tornado today. I love the Bright blue and yellow even more than my black and yellow one. The nice thing is after finding out the things on the first one I can take my time and build all the changes into this one. Henry as always was on the ball I cant believe it was here already without delay. I have a favorite helicopter that I will always have and I will always have a Tornado if they are available. It flies great has no bad habbits. People who have trouble are those who do things you cant do with any high performance model like yank on the elevator at low throttle in a base leg turn. No plane of performance can do that. I am loving flying this and am mastering the true six to eight second slow roll. Looks so cool from on the deck down the runway. Cant wait for my first scale jet the giant F-15 powered by the Jet Central Mammoth. It will make my Tornado look a little small. Thanks Henry see you at Florida Jets.

Wow, taking me longer than that. I must be using a different manual

I'm stuck waiting on a nose gear from springair. Hard telling how long it will take to get it

Has anyone noticed how similar this is to a kangaroo? I bet it could be modded pretty easily to get rid of the booms.

Been done already to make it EDF, but the wing area is much smaller than a kangaroo, the flying characteristics would be much worse than you think, if you want confirmation check out the Falcon 120 thread where the guy just flew it twice.

You're probably right. You made me curious so I grabbed my rookie wing which should be the same as a roo and laid it on the tornado.

Is it possible to use the stock motor mount to mount a k-100g and fod guard without needing to hack away big time at the back of the fuse. It seems like the mount already sits to low to fit the 100g well. Does anyone have photos they could post of their k-80 or K-100 using the stock mount. Has anyone used the mounts available from dreamworks ?

Please have a look at how the correct way the engine should be mounted on the Tornado using the stock mount.

ALSO GUYS I HAVE STOCK OF RETRACTS STRUTS WHEELS AND BRAKES IN NOW. PLEASE BE ADVISED THAT THE TORNADO V3 PACKAGE IS ONLY SOLD THROUGH US AND IS EXCLUSIVLY MADE FOR US.

He was asking about mounting with the fod though. That requires doing some more dremeling. Not a big deal in my opinion. I fly off grass and find a ton of crap stuck to the front of my fod screen, so for me it was worth carving up the fuse a bit.

Can you send a few pictures of what you cut to put on your FOD sceen? Also what engine did you use? I built a home made FOD screen attached to the fuse.
Thanks

This is to answer outflying3d question:

Go back to page number 115 and start reading from post # 2861.

I ended up using a swept back turbine mount from Modellbauuk, it is a drop fit! Although I'm using K100G with FOD screen, very little hacking in the fuse was required to clear the starter motor. If you need pictures for the installation, just let me know and I will gladly send you some.

Hey Gixxy.

I tried the same thing and no response. That might be kinda a lost cause. Let us know if you get ahold of him, I would like to dress up the cockpit as well.

Thanks!

The only contact I have for Ray is : norray9963@att.ne perhaps he is away on buisnes, the canopies only being a side line I think, I know not a lot of help buy Ian at ModellbauUK has an alternative canopy as well.

I think it may show the difference better if you laid a Tornado wing on a rigged Rookie as it has a substantial wing fairing on the fus.

It seems dumb to be hacking up the rear fuse because Modellbau can't supply a properly designed mount. It's fairly easy to make a swept back mount that requires zero hacking and I posted a template a while back.  Here's a few that I've made, and no i'm not making any more.

Guys I am very sad to say that Ray from Nor-Ray products has passed away. Ray was a great person and helped all of us out for many years in this industry. The buisness has been taken over and all his excellent work will continue but for the moment everything is still on hold. I will advise when it is back in buisness and I will post the info.
