After getting the engine goin after 3 months of nothing, I really want to run this thing! But the electronics are acting wierd. I am going to get a new on/off switch tomorrow, but I think it could be a reciever problem.

basically what happens is that sometimes it works when I start it, but within 5 seconds it just stops responding. Its not low on battery, since when it does move its just how it should be.

Any ideas?

Kyle

Are there fresh batteries in there? Even if the batteries that were already in there are still good they can warp and lose its consistancy. Also check the antana wire to see if there's any fray points and fix them up with elec tape, that's what happened to one of my radios.

If you have digital servos, maybe they are not getting enough juice. If you have analog servos, it could be the rx. I had a friend who was using analog servos with almost the same behaviour as you described. We dropped a different rx in there and all was fine.

It seemed to fix itself...very wierd.

I'm still a bit afraid its gonna quit when Im running, but it was fine for a few hours (opposed to a few seconds before) so I think its alright.

More good news: the engine is doin great!

I was running my rs4 3 yesterday and had the same problem with my throttle servo, but only the throttle servo, steering worked fine. I charged the battery pack and now it runs great. I guess it was low.
