I"ve also felt in love with this beauty and just recently bought one.The 1st impressions are good as for the quality and the incl. hardware.The huge shipping box was nicely organised,well packed inside and everything was in top condition.The Covering was wrinkle free real oracover,all the hardware seems to me usable The main gear is shock absorber type fork

I"d like to fly it by a DLE30 like this german dude:

As I can decide it from the video the power is more than adequate for scale like flying.I hardly can wait for the spring to fly this huge baby

Status: offline 		I have one, haven't started the assembly on it yet. There is another thread on this plane, I will find you the link for it. I do remember that the CG location was wrong in the directions, not sure if it has been fixed yet!

Status: offline 		Hi guys,ive built one of these and had lots of flights with it.if you look on the RCMF link you will find some useful info on where to strenghthen it,I use a CRRC GP26R and it takes off and flys on half throttle,it will pull big loops on half too. the CofG is out it says 100mm from the LE but it should be 123mm.with it being so light it does get blown about a bit if its windy but it has no bad habits.ive put 2 vids on youtube,one was its maiden they are under Ryan 120 (ian51291),

Very nice indeed.Did you use the original hardware in the fuel tank?Do i have to change it if I have a gas engine ?Any mod?What servos,batts, you are using in the plane?

Spetrum DS821 Elevator
Hextronic HX5010 ailerons+flaps
Hitec hs422 throttle
3300 Mah 6v sub C for receiver
2600Mah 4.8v ignition
CRRC GP26R

I used the fuel bung that came with it because it is an odd size and could find one to fit although i did use tygon tubing and a felt clunk and it seems ok so far.I didnt strenghten the strut mounts or the gear and they have been no trouble,i would advise you to re-inforce the inside of the spats/pants along the seams with glass cloth and resin also the same for the strut covers as they are prone to splitting. i also poured some resin around the firewall joints just i case, also went arount every joint in the fus with meadium cyano.All up weight is 5.9kg very light for the size of model.Be carefull when tightening the wing bolts as there is a gap between the wing and fus where the bolts got through,ive put some rubber matting between.on the photos you will see the choke lever comming out the dash also the light on the dash is the ignition light for the remote kill,No weight was added to balance it,came out spot on. one more thing,i did re-inforce around the strut cover fairing with some aluminium plates (well they were made from the lids from those snack pots that you put in the microwave) dont throw anything away,bent into shape then epoxed on then screwed,hope this helps

Thanks a bunch.Your setup is quite similar to what I"m gonna use.As for the servos,I put the Tp Mg946 everywhere.

Well,as for the Mg g46 servos...These are strong ,fast,reliable and cheap servos.I already use a few dozen in my planes with satisfaction.You can buy them for 9.99$ at HC.
I even fitted them into my big gassers,CARF EXTRA,H9 Carden Yak,Pilot Rc Yak 88". Being so cheap,I change them in my gassers for new ones at the beginning of the season as a prevention and sell them.

I"m still waiting for the small parts and telling the truth the Ryan is one of my Christmas gift.Although not the only airplane I start the building in january.
Did you reinforce the wing area where the landing gear strut meets with it?

The smaller one, yes.

I have a Saito 1.00 in the 70" ( the smaller version ) of this plane which is a perfect combo.

I can't imagine that a 1.20 4 stroker would be enough for the larger one, especially since the advertizement recommends a 26cc gasser ( about the equivalent to a 1.60-1.80 four stroker, or larger. ).
