JeffH,

Yes it is. Pink and purple actually. You obviously remember this Arrow? I need to take it out of the closet, bolt the wing on and take some pictures to post. After I got the plane built I had Ronnie Weaver, from Raleigh, NC to paint the airplane and he knew that I liked pink and purple so I gave him free rein to do as he wanted.

As to the Supper Arrow question. It is a Quality Line Arrow Kit from Hobby Barn and they were called Super Arrows if I remember correctly. I remember the 800 Arrow being released, but I never had one of those. The Quality Line Arrow was a fantastic flying airplane. There were quite a few of them in the South East.

Wayne Mann

I don't remember the plane, but Ronnie is my cousin and has told the story of the pink arrow for you. I have met you a couple of times down in NC. The last time was at one of the Fly 4 Tots at the RDRC field. I think the first time was when you still worked for Petty??? I was a kid then(36 now), but loved watching you fly that helicopter!

Rob,

It's good to see you active on the forum. I, for one, am extremely glad to see the increased number of manufacturers back in the business of making glass & foam classics. Worldwide, hopefully there is enough business for everyone.

The Arrow deck shown above is a replica of the original deck that comes with the MK Arrow 40 kit. Don was kind enough to make a mold of it so that the model can be built from a CAD version I'm designing.

The same goes for the Skymaster 20 and Citation 45 decks. All these kits are extremely rare as we know.

David

You might want to check with Jim Graham at R/C City about the LA-1 since he has the original molds with about 25 others... http://www.rccityfl.com/Home.html

Scott, does Jim have the LA-1 kit ready to ship? I am considering this plane but know by previous experience Don can have the kit to me in a couple of days. As in Tuesday if I order tonite.

Of course that doesn't mean I will begin building it anytime soon. I have several of Don's well made kits but haven't started any of them.....................................................

Hi David

The fuselage mold is finished. I am going to work on the chin cowl/belly pan on Tuesday. That's a two part mold so it takes a couple of days. It's the first of the month coming up and I need to ship orders  first before I get on it.

David,
I think some guys like to ogle their old stuff and contemplate hypothetical legal issues.
Don just produces kits. He also builds choppers and custom homes in SoCal. He's a doer, as we know.

The LA-1. LA-2 and SL-1a are all ready to go.  I have been several weeks behind, however right now I am caught up.  These kits are not short kits. I first started pulling parts from these molds about 20 years ago.  The molds are still in like new condition.

Call me at 239-331-2250 shop or 239-821-4195 cell
