The next auction is actually coming up pretty soon, just a bit over 2 months, on February 11, 2012. So start getting your planes ready to sell. There are a few kits that I would love to buy, as well as a few planes and other items ))).

I'm already gathering stuff. So far I have a 40-size GP Christen Eagle, a 90-size GP P-40 Warhawk (w/robart air retracts) and an OS 95AX

It almost makes winter worthwhile

I am also getting things ready for the sale! Looks like I'll have 6 or 7 planes, and some other accessories to bring. It's going to be a full van when Minnflyer and I make our annual trek to the auction!

@ Scottie-

You could sell "A ketchup popsicle to a woman in white white gloves"!

Oh man I love that line - 'Tommy Boy' is one of my favorite movies!

Oh, the things I have seen...

Just kidding!

I'd trust Minnflyer with my planes any day of the year.

Well, the P-40 is in pretty good shape. It had one nose-over so there's a scrape on the cowl chin, and while driving it back to MN from Florida, one elevator took some damage on the TE.

The Christen Eagle has a lot of rash from trying to shoot video tape under less-than-ideal conditions. That's the downside to doing reviews: sometimes we have to fly when the weather would normally keep us home just because we're BOTH available (videographer and pilot).

I'm gonna show up just to meet you guys. There's always that chance that I will end up blowing the dust out of my wallet and having to tell my wife the old "Oh that thing? It's been in the shop for months!" I've got a couple of helis that I could get rid of and not cry about also.

I sure do miss those auctions!!!!

I grew up in WBL/Maplewood, MN area. We started going to the auctions in late 80's, when it was down the road from Gullivers hobby store, and in the basement of the Har Mar mall. I would take a load of stuff there, and bring a different load home. Great time.

In fact I'm doing a thread on here now, about a red box TF P-51A that I got there. I had to turn it back into a kit and then build it right.
