Mine is a PiccoLark due to the lack of quality in Smartech's replacement parts. It was a real piece of crap until I took the proverbial "Bull by the horns" and started working out the bugs...Mods are as follows:

Titanium main shaft

Cut blades for higher head speed/ better stability(I can actually fly it in about 5-7 mph winds)

MIG 280 main motor...twice the power of the OEM motor.(nowhere near as "Coggy" either)

Sleeved mainshaft to reduce swashplate "slop".

Homebrew antenna shortener (Wrap antenna around a plastic soda straw, tape off both ends of wire to the straw and CA it to one leg strut.)

Kokam 8.4 V(2S) 1020 mA LiPoly. Lithium/Polymer cells are the only way to go...I get nearly 15 minutes of continuous hover per charge and 30 minutes of flight.(motor gets WAY hot when running that long tho...) Bishop power products has them for $8.95 ea. and a charger for around $35.(be sure to use a charger designed for li-ion/li-poly)

Happy Trails
Doug
