MaddTraxx R/C Winter Traxx
Coming January 2011, MaddTraxx RC is proud to release our namesake, the MaddTraxx Drive Kit.
After 2 years of research and development, these tracks stand to change the pace of winter bashing. Until we get closer to the release date information will be limited. But below are some key points along with prototype pictures. Photos do not represent final product, material changes are being made to drive sprocket and bogie wheels. Any questions that can be answered, will be answered in a timely fashion.
- 2 Piece design, utilizing a wheel hex adapter and main track assembly.
- 2 versions available, 12mm and 14mm Hex
- 2WD and 4WD compatible
- CNC aluminum frame for strength
- CNC plastic secondary parts for weight savings
- Full ball bearings on all rotating parts
- Anti-rotation bar prevents track flip
- 40% speed reduction consistant with 1:1 tracked vehicles
- 5" of ground contact provided by 1.75" tank style track
- Replaceable UHMW track sliders

Getting there. Had some setbacks that are moving the time-table a bit. We are now making 1 piece, belted rubber tracks. Because of this, some modifications have to be made to the overall design. It's a tough process, but things are starting to come together. Please stick around, we wont stop until these are ready!

Here is a picture showing the test tracks we have molded. We did one of these without reinforced belting, and one with. The difference is amazing. We will certainly be using the belted method as this eliminates stretching, and will minimize a thrown track.
