Got back from Vacation and got the FG back together tonight. Here are some pics.

The man cave.

The Goodies.

Shocks rebuilt and mounted. I had mounting issues with the stock FG filter, need to figure it out but for the time being I shoved a foam filter inside the K&N one.

Radio Tray mounted.

Linkage done.

Side plates. Pipe. And Wheels mounted.

And Done!

Coming together nicely! Looks good

But do yourself a big favour, and ditch the on/off switch for the radiosystem. This will only cause you headache, and to me it caused a big headache AND i little fire in the system as it couldn't handle the current going through it.The result was a shortcut and burned out steering servo due to the wires from the switch melting through the servowires. I just connect the battery directly to the receiver, via a little socket on the outside on the radiobox

And when you have removed the switch, put a pipe there between the chassiplate and the radioplate

Took the FG out for a spin today. There is too much snow so I kept it on the streets. But the roads were so sandy I couldnt get any traction with it.

Its best to upgrade to a good quality alloy servo horn. Just stay away from "universal" ones that come with inserts for different servo spline counts as the inserts are usually made of plastic that strips under a heavy load. Buy one that is one piece all alloy and it should never happen again.

I ran out and bought some plastic servo horns to hold me over until the alloy one comes. Took the FG off some snow bank jumps and man does it fly, extremely well too. Until I got a bad bounce going off the snow bank and it landed upside down on the body. I had a feeling the hummer body wasn't going to last, and I put a few huge cracks on the back of the body. Hope it stays together awhile longer.

Was going to order a new Pickup body but a friend convinced me other wise and to hold out longer on the hummer body. Did order the correct parts for the air filter, outerwears, radio box, and a spektrum receiver cause I dont like my current setup. Will come next week

Well I pulled the trigger on MT wheels and the F150 body. Should be here this week.

I got the Killer Bee and the spektrum installed. Everything works, woohoo.

Also, my Top end pipe was leaking a little bit so I sent DDM an email. They let me send it in and trade it for a Torque pipe. So pumped to run that sucker!

Monster Jam begins next weekend, looking forward to it.

At one point about 3 years ago. Zenoah could not keep up the supply needed by Fg so there were about 200 vehicles that were built with CY engines and shipped to the US. Never heard any issues with them back then.

Also, if you are looking for parts, try www.fgsupply.com. They are a distributor and most small dealers don't stock parts and order them from fgsupply after they receive an order. Talk to Angel there, he make have a spare stadium tire and rim for you.

Went home easter weekend with some new parts. Got it all back to stock, reset the engine needles. Thing runs awesome! Except for the random engine bogs, I think the carb needs to be cleaned. Other than that I am loving this thing. My buddy is giving me a set of his custom front Aluminum A arms. Will get those put on when I get out of school.

Plans for the summer.

Time to revive this thread. So I haven't touched my FG in a long time, probably since last year's Monster Jam season, and I never got the 29cc Zen. But it is time for an update! I'll be getting a new engine for Xmas and then I just bought some parts that were broken as well as alloy engine mounts for the new engine, I keep breaking the plastic ones. I also picked up some outerwears and new fuel tubing. They will be here later this week. I tore down the FG the other day and tried to clean up some parts.

Pics refuse to upload to Imgur. Will try again later.

Pictures!

Right before the tear down. Cleaned up the Fuel tank a lot.

Seriously? How does grass get in there? I needed to take the killswitch out.

As it sits now.
