Status: offline 		I recently read a thread here re: a Midwest Das Lite Stik and was digging through my plans (dont' have many) and found the Midwest Das Bipe Stik. Anyone ever built that kit or have one? I'd like to build it but there's only a small parts diagram and I wondered if you could enlarge it for rib's etc. and work okay? The ribs are around 2 inches on the diagram and full size are around 8 1/4 inches. How much would I need to enlarge by to get the correct size? This plane has about a 44" span and suggest a .45 size engine. I really like the looks of it and would like to build one. Or I guess another idea is to have a kit cutter to cut it for me. Any idea how much that would cost? Thanks for any input.

Status: offline 		Yes, I have the Midwest Das Bipe Stick. I got it partially built and only need to cover and detail it. I have it in my holding bay until I get to it and will have to retrieve it to check the plans for the detail you need. I may be able to scan the part of the plan you need and email it to you with the dimension you need to print it to. What detail, in addition to the rib, do you need? I have not had to have Kinkos or someone else copy complete plans, but that is also an option. Let me know.

Status: offline 		Thanks Richard. I have the plans and after seeing them here I see the rib outline on the plan. I just have to figure out the diff from R!,R2,R3, etc.

I have the plans for this model around somewhere, but I don’t have them in front of me. From what I remember the rib profile is constant throughout the entire wing. Like the ugly stik it is derived from. If you look at the wing plan, you can see that they are of equal length, tip to tip. (as I remember it) Just copy the rib profile for both top and bottom wings, as shown on the plans, and use them where shown on the wing plan. Just speaking from memory, so take this for what it’s worth. Hope this helps. If you have any questions, feel free. If need be, I can dig out the plans and then be able to offer better advise. Very interesting plans. Does the top wing have ailerons and decalage?
The plan of the topwing you have uploaded stayed small - it is not possible to see. Can you perhaps upload it again?

Status: offline 		ailerons are only on the bottom wing strip type.the differences in the ribs are the top wing has some notches for the hardwood blocks that hold the cabane struts.
