Hey ya’ll…

Check out my ESM V35. It’s a bit smaller than I thought but sweet. I simply bought it for the tail; I like different chit. Specs:

Fuse: 64”
WS: 80.5”
Fly Weight: 14lbs
Engine: 108 2 cycle
Engine: 120 4 cycle
Flaps
Retracts
8 Servos with Glow; 9 with Gas for choke

I’m undecided; either a DL 20 or 30. The 20 equals a 1.20 glow (1.22).
I always like a bit more than recommended, so right now I just decided on the DL 30 which is a 1.80 glow (1.83).
This is a simple bird to build; just like any bird from Tower Hobbies; this came from ARFPro.
I now own four (4) ESM birds from ARFPro: Robin 400; Corsair 50cc; V35; and the Booty Kickin’ Do-335 Twin Front/Rear engine.
There are two more ESM birds I’m likin’ at the moment.

This bird will probably sit in its box for a long time; too many birds in front of it to build, but that could change at any given moment.
So subscribe and stay tuned.

Mr DJ

PS: I hate how RCU post these giant freakin' photos...

Very nice looking plane. Found a video online of one flying. Where did you order it from? I did a google search, but did not find any dealers.

Thanks,
Bill S.

Hi Mr DJ,

Can you comment on the quality of the ESM gear? I just ordered the ESM A-36, but I didn't get the stock gear. I figured I'd try to find a Robart gear, but maybe the ESM stuff is OK? What do you think?

John

I have wanted one for a while, same thing though. Wish it was bigger. I would think a 50cc version would rock

keep us updated, got a DL30 sitting here doing nothing so I am curious

John, what up...

ESM does make crappy gear for certain models. The fixed nose gear for the Robin 400 is a joke, but the retracts for the Corsair is kool. Some folks who have the Corsiar say differently, but hey, what you gonna do. The gear for the V35 is the same for the A36 and they look execellent to me. Now on all of my turbines and a few of my giant props, I will send the gear to Down N Locked for electric conversion. The conversion isn't cheap, so I may not do so on all my props, but ease of operation makes it a wanted item - for me anyways.

A DL 30 is what I'll be thowin' on mine; it will fly with a 20, but I like to have more than just enough.

Flyin'

What up!!!! Excellent on your V35 - feel free to post your photos and videos right here...

I get my Aero Epoxy from BVM http://www.bvmjets.com

I'm glad Bob hooked you up... Did you get the retracts, if not, I think you should...

Now the deal with the DL engines will have us tilting the engine a bit so the pipe will not hit the long nose. I haven't held the engine up against the firewall but I can tell already that it can't be mounted inverted due to the long nose.

Mr DJ

Bob, is a kool Gent - I like him; I must so 'cause I already bought 4 birds from him

Mr, DJ

Thanks for the info. I also bought a PC-21 from Bob. Looking at the T-33 too. I did not get the retracts yet, I wanted to see what down and locked offered. What would Down and Locked charge to convert the ESM?

Tim,

Down N Locked prices:

Mains $285.00. Mains with door sequencer $325.00. Tri Gear $385.00. Tri Gear with door sequencer $425.00.

Not cheap but worth it...

Mr DJ
