Wondering if I should stuff an older .20 in it or a little .30 4-stroke. It came as electric and was a dog, besides I'm just not into silent aircraft.
I sold off the 'e' stuff a long while ago, reinforced the firewall then stalled on the conversion. Just looking for suggestions...

Hi Jack in Maine

I fly one with a Cox Baby Bee .049. It is under powered, but kind of fun anyway. I would imagine that .20 or .30 4-stroke would be a bit much for the plane, but maybe a .09 to .15 would be suitable. The conversion was fairly simple as I did not need to worry about mounting a tank or a throttle servo. If I were to do it over, I would probably use a Norvel .074 as I suspect it would not weigh much more and would be about the right power for the plane.

Have fun
David

Looks nice! My Dad has that plane and its OK electric, but I'm gonna lean on him some to think about the upgrade to real airplane noise.
